Lumina Films is built around a simple idea: that the most cinematic stories often live in the spaces between — between cultures, classes, languages, identities, and systems.

Founded in Helsinki in 2025, the company develops fiction films — features and shorts — with international festival ambition and a strong production foundation in Finland and the Nordics. We believe in slow development, careful collaboration, and a healthier working culture in film.

We are particularly interested in working with Finnish, Nordic, migrant, queer, and diasporic voices — and in stories that hold political weight without sacrificing humour, desire, contradiction, and craft.
